Google Play Store Connection Timed Out Solution

Android is a great OS, but Google is working hard to make it much better. New versions of Android like Marshmallow and Lollipop are helping to remove all the bugs and vulnerabilities. But other companies customize Android, and this leads to small bugs some of these little bugs are very notorious. I faced this issue on my Nexus 7 WiFi after some research I found some steps and my buddies on different Android forums helped me to solve this problem. After some research, I concluded that it was not only me many people were facing this issue. So, I am listing methods to solve this error. This process helped many users to solve the “Google Play Store connection timed out” error.

There are different reasons for this error to occur so I am listing all the options to resolve this issue. Before trying these steps make sure your internet connection is proper. To check your Internet connection switch to any other Internet source like Mobile data/ WiFi and if using wiFi then try to switch to other Wifi network and check that Play storing is working or not. IF Play store is working properly with different internet source, then the problem is caused by your Internet connection. Contact your ISP and ask him to solve this issue (connection timed out play store).

1. Clear Cache and Data of Google Play Store This worked for many users.

It is the most efficient solution and Yes it worked for many users. So, I am adding it at the top of the list. Android makes the cache of every app so to make it fast. This sometimes causes the issue. So clearing it solved the problem for other users and me also.

Steps.
1. Go to settings.
2. Open “Apps” move to all “All Apps.”
3. Find Google Play Store and open it.
4. Press Clear Data button and you are done.
Restart the phone if it works or not. If it does not help you to solve the Google play store, no connection error then proceed to bellow steps.

2. Clear Cache and Data of Google Service Framework.

It is very less know app in Android. This app runs on all the Android devices in Background. Some users suggested that clearing the data of Google service framework and Google Play store helped them to solve this issue. The steps are almost the same as above. Make sure that you are deleting the cache of both apps.

Steps.
1. Go to settings.
2. Open “Apps” move to all “All Apps.”
3. Find the Google Service Framework and open it.
4. Press Clear Data button and you are done.
Restart the phone if it works or not. If it does not help you to solve the Google play store, no connection error then proceed to bellow steps.

3. Make sure Date and Time are correct.

If you ever changed the Date and Time of you Android device for any reason. This may be the reason for the “Google Play Store connection timed out” error. So, Make sure your Date and Time is correct. The best settings to do is keep it on Auto. Auto date and time is the best option.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Date & Time.
  2. Turn on automatic date & time option.

4. Factory Reset Your Android Device to Solve “Google Play Store Connection Timed Out”.

The ultimate solution for almost any problem. This problem can be solved by factory resetting your Android Device.

Factory resetting will erase all the data from your Phone so please backup your contacts and other important files otherwise you will regret this decision.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Backup & Reset.
  2. Tap factory data reset.
