On every operating system whether it is Windows, Linux, Android which follow TCP/IP standard have the Hosts file to resolve Domain names instead of using Domain Name Service. When you type a Domain Name in your Browser, then your Browser first Resolve Domain name into IP address i.e computer understandable address using your ISP DNS or root DNS. But if you have Domain Name with it’s corresponding IP address specified into Hosts file then your application use Windows Hosts file instead of DNS.
